This week, please come and visit the additional vendors at the market and maybe try another food vendor! It's dinner time and the food is ready for you right here, so don't worry about cooking at home in a hot kitchen... We've got you covered! Just pull in after work, call the gang, and get your munch on. And yes, we have dessert covered too!
At 6 pm, the Jeweled Scarab Belly Dance Company will be here to perform for you. Picnic in the park and watch the show- but don't eat too much as we'd like you to give it a whirl (Literally).
Earlier, Children's activities and story time with Pierce County Library in the grass in front of Orting Station- usually starts at 3:30. If it's really hot, they may move to a more shaded area.
Live animals this week- rabbits, chicks, ducks will be on the West side of the park, along with Wildwool Farm sheep (or lamb or ??) that come to the market.
Bautista Farm plans to join us on the 26th, as does Windmill Gardens and Misty Meadows Farm.
We have lots of fresh berries from Sidhu Farms (very local- right up the road!) and Hayton Farms is bringing their organic berries too! This is the perfect time to get a lot of berries and get to canning and freezing for the rest of the year.
Forget Me Not Farm has great plants, flowers and gift items, so stop by their space. And don't forget to visit Orting Floral and Greenhouse as they have super deals on bedding plants- can't beat their offers!
Rainier School, of Buckley has a great program for the adults that reside there- they build fabulous garden furniture and grow flowers baskets in their greenhouses to bring to the market each year. Stepping stones are also one of their offerings, so be sure to take a look at what they have in their spaces. Excellent quality, excellent prices, and a super program being supported!
Soler Farm will have a variety of plants, including shade loving varieties for those who have a wooded property. Maureen Soler's family has been growing in this area for a long time and we are pleased to continue that tradition at the market.
We look forward to having you at the market!
